Michael came to Dawes & Vary as a trainee in May 1973, with a keen aspiration to gain experience in the legal profession. After assisting a wide variety of clients in areas such as property transactions, mortgage preparation, local government matters, Wills preparation and debt recovery, Michael soon developed a special skill in dealing with property.
Having developed a successful practice advising clients in all things property at Dawes & Vary, Michael spent 10 years in Darwin taking advantage of a property boom at the Top End. Michael's return to Dawes & Vary was an advantage not only for the firm but for clients who have been able to gain from Michael’s expertise in the property field including his common sense approach to resolving property disputes.
Michael’s encounters at the office include:
- Giving advice with regard to all types of property contracts
- Assisting developers and those wanting to subdivide land
- Advising in complex farm sales
With his career in law spanning over 37 years, Michael has gained a
reputation for his attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
