Josh is born and bred in the Goulburn Valley having grown up in Shepparton, with his parents being the proprietors of a local business. Josh completed his primary and secondary schooling in Shepparton before moving to Melbourne to commence his University studies.

Josh deferred from his studies to work in the family business for two years before travelling the world for 9 months. He then returned to University and completed his Bachelor of Laws degree at La Trobe University in 2008. Following this, Josh studied the Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the College of Law before commencing with Dawes & Vary in September 2009.

Josh was admitted as a lawyer on 18 March 2010 and practices mainly in the areas of property law, conveyancing and wills.
