Starting off in the legal industry as a junior filing clerk in 1967, it is fair to say that David Collins’ loyalty to the law after such a long time exemplifies his love of practice and helping clients.
After realising his interest in legal practice, David decided to study law part-time while working and after 7 years of commitment to study, he was admitted to practice. After being a successful sole practitioner, David was approached by Dawes & Vary who realised his skills could only be a benefit to the firm. After 10 years in Kyabram, David then headed our Rochester office where he still practices.
Having a keen interest in Mortgages and Property Law, David is now primarily helping his clients with matters such as:
- Drafting Mortgage documents
- All aspects of Sales and Purchases in land and farm matters
- Administration of Estates
- Drafting of Wills and Powers of Attorney
In his spare time, David enjoys playing golf, but likes to boast of his footballing success in his younger years as he was part of the 1975 Kyabram premiership team.
David is the proud grandfather of 3 grandchildren and lives in Kyabram close to his 3 children.
